Our mission is to provide diverse housing options, compassionate care, and access to collaborative support services for persons living with disabilities and HIV/AIDS so they can thrive in our community. We provide Housing Case Management in Durham and Orange Counties. We also offer supportive services in Durham, Orange, and Person Counties.
ACRA was founded in Durham, NC in 1987 when the AIDS pandemic was raging. We provided hospice care to many at Blevins House, the 1st family care home for PLHIV in North Carolina. We continue to operate as a housing specific organization with two facilities in Durham, NC. We have a resident waiting list for both facilities.
